The Tram Of Thoughts

The Tram Of Thoughts

I saw a man on the tram,

And then he left me,

With my train of thoughts,

All alone.

Looking over the window,

I found something,

A paper, perhaps a letter,

It was folded in four,

Delicate and worn,

The creases a story,

Of journeys it had borne.

I opened it slowly,

As if unwrapping a gift,

And saw words on the page,

A heartfelt message adrift.

It said, "You've always been like this",

But what did it mean?

The ink on the page,

Do they reveal an entangled mess?

My mind's a labyrinth,

A maze yet to be figured out,

As I looked out of the window,

I saw him,

Green eyes, brown hair,

Looking straight at me,

His face now etched in my mind.

The mystery of the letter,

The enigma of the man,

Life's intricacies and complexities,

A puzzle we can barely understand.

But I hold onto the letter,

And the memory of the man's stare,

As I ride the train into the unknown,

In this labyrinthine journey we all share.
