The Winter Mood
The Winter Mood
In the warmth of winters
Seeking solace,
in conversation with nature;
With yellow leaves shedding as fritters
While those green welcoming
the naive buds with a bonjour.
As the hazy sun hovers over the blue,
My stealthy brain-seeking energy
from something new,
May it be a ‘chai ki chuski’ or
gearing up for a jog;
But every effort seems to merge with
the dense smog.
The nature’s beauty sundown
by the manmade smog
My love for winter seems to vanquish
in the daylight fog
Why can't a treatment for stubble burning
be found?
For a cleaner auberge be our happy ground.
Sitting below the canopy, the rays pierce
to sun kiss my face
A spark of heat set my brain ablaze
Ready for another day’s work tearing
through the cold breeze,
Nearing soon to the dark and cold,
as the day seizes.
