Then To Now

I don't remember how we met, 

But all that matters to me is that we did, 

You were the person who gave me warmth when I was wet, 

And who handled me when I acted like an immature kid;

Initially, we had no relation at all, 

No emotions and no feelings, 

But yet I just had to call, 

And you were always there for my healings;

Cared for me like I was a soul of your own, 

My sadness caused pain in your heart, 

But now that the distances have grown, 

You force me to believe that life requires a new start;

For me, you were always my forever, 

But then there occurred a glitch, 

That I became your never, 

I saw our bond tearing up and I couldn't even stitch;

Not because I was not willing, 

But seeing you happy without me, 

Was the thing that was killing, 

The person in me that you could not see;

Bad omens occur I had heard,

And they were occurring to me I realized, 

You were the one to give wings to the bird, 

Whose heart today you have paralyzed;

People were amazed, 

When we United our hearts, 

And with the same amazement, they gazed, 

When I was trying to gather my broken parts...
