True Nature
True Nature
I walked the green land
As my shoes munched on the leaves
A marvelous butterfly sat on the finger of my hand
As the air was an aroma of sweet honey from the bees
As the sun gave them the spotlight
The trees swayed on the stage
The birds flapped their wings with liberty and might
Without the hindrance of the metal bars of the cage
The wind ran through the sky
In haste to greet the clouds
The pale skies somberly cry
When their hearts echo and thunder out loud
But the lost-lover meeting of the wind and sky
Was interrupted by buzzing sounds. Hum. Hum.
As the large metal bird cut through the wind
And it flew, conquering the sky
Tree’s bark chipped with arrows and shots
It became a target face
The birds on branches like bull’s eye
Then accessories made of teeth, skin, and spots
The trees, birds, and animals ripped
Some from themselves and some from home
Calls and songs tragically stopped
With the forest, now, all alone
It sits and tolerates the pain and misery
It’s loss uncountable and uncompensable
(It cries in tsunamis and shakes in earthquakes)
The mourning and funerals as catastrophic calamities
Now selfish sapiens are in danger
If there’s no humanity, there shall be no amity
Now we’ll see nature’s true nature
