Yearning's End

Yearning's End

In shadows of love, a bittersweet tale,

A heart torn between yearning and stale.

"I still love her," echoes deep within,

But the wounds inflicted, they pierce my skin.

The embers of affection, they flicker and glow,

Yet my soul grows weary, it yearns to let go.

For love should uplift, not bring agony and pain,

But in this tangled web, I feel my heart strain.

I don't want her anymore, these words I confess,

A plea to find solace, to heal and progress.

The love that once flourished, now bears a weight,

A burden too heavy, I cannot abate.

Her absence, a void that I long to erase,

But the scars she left linger, a haunting embrace.

I don't hurt me anymore, I beg of my soul,

To break free from this cycle, to once again be whole.

For self-love must triumph, in the face of despair,

To reclaim my spirit, to breathe in fresh air.

Though love lingers still, a flame in my core,

I choose myself now, to heal and restore.

In the depths of my being, a phoenix shall rise,

From the ashes of heartache, it'll spread its wings wide.

And as I find strength, in letting love go,

I'll forge a new path, where happiness shall flow.

So I'll cherish the memories, but bid her adieu,

For I deserve a love that is pure and true.

I still love her, but I don't want her anymore,

I don't hurt me anymore; my heart will restore.
