Romeo And Juliet (Shakespeare)

In fair Verona, where grudges grow,

Two families, feuding, their anger aglow.

Montagues and Capulets, side by side,

In ancient strife, their hearts collide.

Amidst this chaos, young love does bloom,

Romeo and Juliet, their hearts consume.

Romeo pines for Rosaline's grace,

While Juliet's destined for another's embrace.

But fate's design, a masquerade ball,

Brought them together, defying all.

In masks they met, hearts in trance,

A love ignited in a fleeting glance.

Secretly wed, in shadows they'd tread,

Friar Laurence's blessing, their hopes widespread.

Yet darkness loomed, and trouble brewed,

Tybalt's challenge, a deadly feud.

Exiled from Verona, Romeo's fate sealed,

Juliet, left behind, her heart congealed.

To avoid a forced marriage, she would risk,

A potion from the friar, a daring twist.

Believed dead, she was laid to rest,

In the Capulet tomb, her family distressed.

Romeo, unaware, raced to her side,

In love's despair, he could not hide.

A duel ensued, with Paris he'd clash,

Two lives extinguished in a fatal dash.

Romeo, believing his love's demise,

Drank poison and closed his eyes.

Awakening to find her love deceased,

Juliet's grief and despair increased.

She took his dagger, ending her strife,

Their love story cut short by life.

Their tragic end, a turning tide,

The feuding families, their rift denied.

In death, they'd see their folly unfurled,

Promising peace in the end to this world.

"Romeo and Juliet," a timeless tale,

Of love and hate, where destinies sail.

In youth's embrace, where passions flew,

A cautionary tale for me and you.
