The Forbidden School Of Wizardry (episode 1)

Mioko was enjoying the pleasant weather. It was around 5 o'clock in the evening. She usually didn't go for walks like this one. But today's weather was just so beautiful that she wanted to get out of her house and enjoy it. She was walking, with her head in the upwards direction, staring at the beautiful, orange sky. She kept walking. She bumped into a strange man. She realized it wasn't a man. It was a mere boy, around her age. he looked worried and tired. He looked at her and his face suddenly showed that he was scared. "I..I'm sorry". He was nervous. But why? thought Mioko. "it's fine, it's my fault I wasn't looking where I was going". Mioko tried being friendly. She didn't have many friends in this new city. She had to move to LA, for her scholarship to Loyola Marymount University. She was a young 19-year-old girl. The boy looked at her, he looked like he wanted to smile, but didn't. His face was still filled with doubt and questions. "No, I am sorry". He said that and rushed out before Mioko had any chance to say anything. He looked like he was searching for something. He didn't want to talk to her, or anyone for that matter of fact. Mioko ignored the strange behaviour of the boy and stepped forward. But she realized his wallet was lying on the road. She picked it up and looked at it. "Hey, you-" she stopped. The boy suddenly disappeared. Where could he go? She thought. She opened the Wallet to see if it had some ID or address. It was an old and torn wallet. It had a credit card, a train express card, and a bus ticket. there was a folded piece of paper. She opened it. It had an address. Maybe it's his address. She thought. But who would keep their own address in their wallet, does he forget his address or something. She read - Floral Valley, street no.2, Building no. C-23. She had no idea where this was.

She thought about it and decided she'll try and find it because she can't keep someone's wallet all night with herself. She took her phone out of her pocket and turned on google maps. She typed the address on the phone and was happy to see that the place wasn't too far. it took her 20 minutes to reach there She looked at the signboard saying ꜰʟᴏʀᴀʟ ᴠᴀʟʟᴇʏ ➡. She moved forward. There were 4 streets. She walked into street no. 2 and then looked at the building numbers. C-20,C-21,C-22,C-23. that's the one. C-23. Mioko walks into the building. The building looks old. the walls are cracked and cement was laying on the ground. Who could live in such poor conditions? Mioko looked around the building. It had an elevator. and the rest of it was empty. "hello? Anybody here ?" Mioko's voice echoed around the whole building. "how am I supposed to find that boy here ?" she asks herself. There is nothing here. Just an elevator. Maybe ai should get in the lift. I can try pressing a button. Mioko walks towards the lift. She gets in. "I just hope this lift doesn't fall down or something". She looks at the floors. Just two floors. It has 3 buttons. but the third is...weird. It says nothing. It's empty. Mioko swallows, and with doubt, presses the 3rd button which says nothing. Suddenly the elevator's door closed and the Elevator started moving upwards. Mioko looks at the floor count. it's 0, then it's 1. Mioko gulps. then it's 2 and then... Mioko waits for something to happen. The elevator door opens on 2. She feels weird. But before she could step out, the door suddenly closes again. The elevator starts going at a high speed. Mioko starts to panic and sits down on the elevator floor in the corner. She closed her eyes and then...TING!! came a voice. Mioko opened her eyes.She looked in front of her. The elevator door opened. And there she saw a well-maintained floor. The floor was covered with marble. The walls were painted. There were paintings hanging on the wall. The big room was air-conditioned. Mioko was surprised to see such a nice room after such a horrible building. Mioko got up from the floor and stepped out. The room's aroma was amazing. It made her want to sleep. Mioko looked around. there was a small table surrounded by 4 sofas and a huge table with a chair behind it. It seemed like the reception. Nobody was there. She hoped that she could find that boy as fast as possible and go home. All this was making her head spin. Mioko called out "Hello, anybody here ?" She looked around. Why is this sity do strange, there is no sign of life whatsoever, Mioko thought. "Welcome, Miss.Sinclair". came to a voice from somewhere. Mioko moved her head around and around but couldn't find the person speaking. "We have been waiting for you". The man's voice was bold and low. "who are you ?" Mioko raises her voice. "and where are you ?" said Moko, still trying to find the source of the voice. A man suddenly steps in front of Mioko and stares at her. The man was well-dressed, in a tuxedo and was a little old, around 40-45. The man continued "You were predicted to come here and you did, as excepted". Mioko tries to process everything that just happened. first I met this boy who forgot his wallte and suddenly disappeared somehow. I try to return his wallet and find an address in his wallet. I go to that address and find an abanded building and then there is a floor that doesn't have a number but somehow I reach that floor and it turns out to be an office or reception of some sort and now a man is telling me that I was supposed to come here and they were waiting for me? That's too much to take in. Mioko thinks. "You are on time, again, as excepted". The man said, "what exactly are we talking about here ? I don't get it, I just came here too". Mioko stops. The boy who she met suddenly steps out. "you!, what is this, I just wanted to return your wallet that's all, I think you have mistaken me for someone else". Mioko tries defending herself. "You are Mioko Sinclair, am I wrong ?" The man was confident he was right and he was. "yes, I am Mioko Sinclair, how do you know my name?" The man smirked. The boy looks at the floor and tries his best to not meet my eyes. "As I said, We have been waiting for you". The man continued "You are one of the few people selected for the School of Wizardry, which is now called the forbidden school of Wizardry. I think you weren't informed about this but don't worry, we will tell you everything regarding your stay here". The man smiled at Mioko. "stay, I have no intention of staying here I need to get back home". The man stopped smiling "I am afraid that is not an option. You have no choice but to stay here or...or die". Mioko's eyes open wide. what did I get myself into ? She thinks to herself. "but it's okay, We have prepared everything you need to stay here comfortably. You see you have a power you have not yet discovered and we, the members of the school of wizardry, ensure that you discover that power and control that or otherwise if you discover that power in the human world then that might be a problem. You might hurt someone and you wouldn't want that now would you ?" Mioko calms down "I have power? what do you mean ?" Mioko looks at the man and stares for a moment. "shall we sit down and talk ?" the man asks. Mioko nods. They sit down.

"Now, I'll put this in the easiest way I can. Every year, 10 babies, are selected by the lord of wizardry and are given power, an extraordinary power. Now, these kids are left till they grow up and are around the age of 19-20. Our job is to bring those kids here or should I say to the school because the school is actually nowhere".

"what do you mean nowhere ?"

"Well, these babies we talk about are from around the world so we don't have a specific place where we are. This school we are talking about is not exactly on land like normal schools. It is in a portal where time doesn't exist and only members of the school can excess it. It is in the middle of the world and you can go into that portal from anywhere as long you are a member of the school ". 

"so you mean I am in a portal Right now".

"No. this is on earth right now. it is like a headquarter of the school".

"wow"

"you don't seem scared like all the other kids mostly are".

"Why should I be ? I didn't only find out that I am in this cool school for wizards but also that I have a strong power and I am one of the few special 10 kids who get these powers".

"Well, I am happy that you didn't react like all the others".

"I don't really love the college I am studying in right now so I don't have a problem with shifting to a new school". 

"I am glad you don't have a problem". 

"My mother really doesn't care even if I am alive or not so why would she care if my school changed ?" there was a pain in Mioko's words and the Man and the boy felt it. "anyways I am Walter". said the man "and this here is Lucuas". The boy lifted his head from the floor and looked at Mioko. Their eyes met and Mioko felt this weird sensation. His eyes were so pretty. the shade of red. "I am Mioko, but you can call me Mio". said Mioko shaking Lucas's hand. "Sure Mio". said Lucas and smiled. His smile was beautiful. "okay, then let's go to the school". said, Walter. He took out a wand and muttered something and a portal opened in mid-air. The three climbed, or should I say, went inside. Mioko was stunned. It was a huge School filled with kids and the sky was beautiful. It was pinkish. "this is the school of Wizardry". said, Walter. Mioko was speechless. "WOW!" was all Mioko could say. The kids roaming around the school all looked at Mioko. "Don't mind the kids. They look at every new kid". Walter took Mioko to her room. Mioko realized that Lucas was a quiet boy. he didn't say much. The school's stairways were also huge. Walter stopped in front of a room. "this is where you will be staying with Lucas". Mioko suddenly started blushing "with..Lu..Lucas ?" Mioko asked in shame. Lucas looked at Walter and said "yeah, what are you talking about ?" Walter chuckled. "I don't mean you two would be sleeping together, don't worry, there are different beds in the room". Mioko and Lucas sighed. Mioko went into her room and said "but my things are not here". Walter smiled and said, "don't worry I took your luggage from your house". Mioko was surprised but smiled anyways. Mioko didn't know what adventures and horrors waited for her yet...
