The Quiet Murder (part 2)

London opened the door and was stunned to see a strange man. He was bruised and his face was a mess. He was way taller than London so she had to keep her head in a weird position. "You are London Gracia, right ?" He asked with hope in his voice. "yeah I am London Gracia, How can I help you?" Replied London with an innocent smile. "I need to tell you something important, about your mother's death". He looked London in the eyes.

London's smile evaporated "what do you mean ? who are you ?" she starts questioning him and gives him a not-so-friendly expression. "I know, I know, it's a bit sudden for you but trust me, let me explain and this will all make sense". London thinks for a moment and then says. "look I don't know who you are but somehow you know about my mother's death which is weird but because you want to tell us something important I'll let you in". The man sigh's in relief and get's in. Me, who was in the bathroom, came out and looked at the man and then at London and then at the man again. I give her a questioning look. "Jeni this is Benjamin Brown and he needs to tell us something important concerning our mother's death". I look at London and glare at her and I know she can read my expression, "Benjamin this is my elder sister, Jennifer Gracia".

The man gives a weak smile and I try and smile but I couldn't. Why does he know about our mother's death, I don't even know him. I try and be polite and say "nice to meet you, Benjamin". The man said, "pleasure's all mine". I still can't get that feeling off that I have seen him somewhere, but where? I would remember seeing such a giant old man. "you say, you know something about our mother's death ? what is it ?" I pick up the tea on the table and take a sip. "I am sorry, I know you don't know me and it's a bit of a surprise for you. I was your mother's colleague. I worked with her in the same office. When I heard about her death, I was shocked. She was all fine in the office and then suddenly, her death. She was loved and admired by everyone in the office, she was so sweet and kind to everyone, but there was one person who hated her, and envied her success. Aiden Johnson. He was the favorite employee of the boss before Olivia came.".

Olivia is our mother in case you didn't know "He tried messing up her work every time. He gave her more and more work to do so that she would forget one work and the boss will scold her. But Olivia did everything perfectly. All of Aiden's efforts to Sabotage Olivia's work failed. Olivia was the most patient person I knew. Aiden's sabotaging came to harassment. He followed her everywhere and started interfering in her personal life. I tried to stop him but he...he attempted to kill me. After that, I was really scared for Olivia. I told her to be careful and stay away from Aiden. She said she'll be fine and then slowly Aiden stopped stalking Olivia and left her alone.

But then suddenly after a few months, he called Olivia to his house and told her he wanted to apologize to her for behaving in such a rude way. Olivia was too innocent to see his true intentions.". I interrupted in between "If you are implying that he has murdered our mother I would agree with you but why would someone kill one just on the basis of jealousy ?" I made a valid point and that made the Benjamin guy think for a moment. But I'm not entirely sure if he was thinking about the question I asked or something else. "I...didn't tell you one thing before I started telling you all this. Aiden and Olivia were...going to get married".

London and I stare at his face like he told us that we are not breathing which is unbelievable because we are breathing. "What do you mean going to get married ?" asked London. "They both studied in the same college and by the time Aiden started to like your mother and told his father that he wanted to marry her. when they both graduated on their graduation day, Aiden proposed to your mother. But your mother refused as she loved your father. Aiden's father was a big businessman and Aiden told his father about what happened. His father used his power and money to try and bribe Olivia's parents but they refused to marry their daughter to such a selfish man. Aiden and his father just disappeared from their lives and they went back to living their normal lives.

But Aiden didn't get over Olivia. It was a coincidence that Olivias joined the same company as Aiden. But Aiden was really happy. He always used to call Olivia in his office for work and used to flirt with her. One day Olivia slapped him and Aiden went mad, He gave Olivias so much work that day that she had to stay at the office all night. He wouldn't fire her but instead gave her more work when he got mad because if she left then it would be a disadvantage for him too. One day he crossed the limit and came to her house. You two were small. Olivia called the police. Aiden didn't bother her for the next few months and then he stopped talking to Olivia. But after your father died he thought he could still marry her now and then started stalking her and harassing her. Olivia ignored all his efforts because until he didn't cross his limit, she was fine.

You guys grew up. She started to grow tired of all this Aiden stuff and then One day she gave him an earful on how she can't bare this anymore and that to leave her alone. He kept his distance from Olivia after that. and then coming to now, one day he invited her to apologize and Olivia went and the next morning, she was found dead in her Bathroom". The old man finally finished. I think London didn't get half of the stuff the man said. All of this couldn't get into London's teeny tiny brain. "you think Aiden was the one who killed mom and took his revenge on her for refusing his proposal ?" The man nodded. If that's true then that means......
