"I understand your sentiments and I too was thinking the same, let's maintain a healthy distance and just be friends!" stated Sameer, not being able to see the glint of happiness in Naina's eyes.

The next day, at school, Naina while passing by the basketball court, noticed Sameer practicing for the upcoming state tournament, making a smile creep up her face. too busy playing, the other din't even notice her presence and kept playing, not caring about anyone.

The day of the match had come and Naina had gone to watch the match, led by Sameer.

As the match began, Sameer and his team skillfully played through. The opponents weren't weak too, they gave a tough competition to Sameer's team that baffled the players a bit, but Sameer's constant words of motivation kept them through. 

Sometimes the opponent leading and sometimes, lacking.

In the last 1 minute, the score was 3-5 with Sameer and his team on the verge of losing.

By the next 30 seconds, scores changed to 5-5, Sameer's players trying to win.

It were the last 30 seconds of the match now, ball in hands of Sameer's team, that the opponent now had in his hands, time ticking by, a serene silence in the stadium, each one of the spectators' eyes ticking between the score-board and the court, breaths held tight, the atmosphere was tense, each of the player, trying his best to win and....
