Finding (Losing?) Love

In this world, where

Wrong is right and right is wrong

I was born into; unaware

No choice but to go along.

 

Somewhere amidst,

Time moving like a mist-

Turning, swirling and changing

Oh! Change it did in earnest,

I had a dream that I kept holding.

 

In this world, where

Up is down and down is up

I had to reach somewhere,

The choice was mine; I chose the cup.

 

It was by chance

That I came upon him

A smile, a look, a glance

I knew, he was the one

 

But in this world, where

New is old and old is new

I was born ambitious,

I had to reach there, I knew.

 

I ran, away from love

Fell down, got up and strained

At last, I made it!

I was successful; I had gained!

 

Still in this world, where

Love is life and life is love-

A fact, I did ignore-

Why did I find if I had to lose?
