Unsaid Words

That cold winter night,

Those unsaid words,

Dancing in my heart,

Wanting to come out,

But the trembling lips, 

Silence sealing them.

The sound of fire crackling,

Like the tinkles of your laughter, 

Melts the cold in my heart,

But the numb mind, 

Frozen with solicitude.

The moonlight shining through,

Reflects my emotions,

But the dark eyes,

Shielded by shyness

The heartbeat jumps

But the shaking hands,

Trepidation stopping them

But the heart braves it all,

Love providing strength

And just like that, our story begins.
