Kristy Ann Raines aka Summer Raines, Born on April 9, 1957 in Oakland, California in The United States of America, is a very passionate American writer and Poet. Kristy is very unique when it comes to writing which she attributes to her success in earning many literary awards. She was nominated for The Rahim Karim World Prize and has now acquired many other awards for her writing from groups such as Motivational Strips, World Spiritual International Humanity and Peace and Literary Association, Elite Arab Creative Union, Genisis World Writers, Golden Heart, International Cultural Forum for Humanity and Creativity, MI BELLA POESÍA PLASMADA ... Kristy has a long background in the medical field, and has worked with many physicians who were from countries all around the world, hands on and also in Administrative positions which opened her up to a world and love of many cultures, especially for the Middle Eastern countries. She is now retired.
Kristy has a heart for a Ministry and Ophanage in India and also is an advocate for Human Trafficking, (especially involving children) and Domestic Violence. She also is very active in Human Rights, Stopping War and against the use of weapons of mass destruction and looks forward to visiting India in the near future.
Kristy put herself through school and received her certificate in Medical Ultrasound from the Burwin Institute in Canada and also earned her certificate as a Certified Phlebotomist, Certified Medical Coder and also in Medical Transcription, and opened the first Satelite diagnostic Laboratory for a Cardiology Group. While living in some rural communities, under the instruction of the Physicians she worked with, would assist with medical procedures and in office surgeries as well as becoming Office manager, Credentialing Secretary , Writing Presentations for the Physicians and Media Manager for one of the Physician's television appearances.
