THOUSANDS OF MILES (To The One I Love)

I was so happy in our world with you always next to me

You brought so much light in my life.

My love for you stretches to the heavens above, and I never had any concerns of us being separated again.  

I am so in love with you still, even though we have been through many hard times together.

I even thought that all the griefs we had gone through would bring us closer together.  

But I was wrong.  So here we are now. . .

Me here on the other side of the world and you there.  

I feel our hearts getting farther apart now as more time has slipped away.

 Today I sit here thinking about you as my heart still feels like it has been broken in a thousand pieces and is being blown away like a hot desert wind now even farther away from you.  

How did we get to this place?

We were so happy. . . .  Separation robbed us of that. And now, the more I try to forget you, the more I miss you. Please. . . If you still have any love for me, find your way back to me.  I want to be next to you again where I belong, with you and yours.
