A Dark Tale To Remember

A Dark Tale To Remember

Walking down the road,

Not a worry in her head,

She was like the girl next door,

Innocent, pure; living with no regrets.

But tonight it wasn't meant to be,

She didn't know she'd pay for someone's selfish being,

Death's angel struck the wrong door,

He had no soul; it should have been he.

She was robbed of her dignity,

She was torn apart,

Here on, its darkness forever,

In the shadows of death, she'll live her past.

Another column in the newspaper,

In the house of sin, another brick in the wall.

The best you can do is not turn around,

When you see someone's life about to fall.
