I see prevailing social unrest all around 

Still ancient tactics of force and aggression 

Applied by Protesters and Rulers as well 

Our democracy is gravely imperiled 

What we need is a more sensitive humane

All these festering social issues 

Are flamed by malicious campaigning

People snarling venomously on social media 

To find a spotlight in the Digital Hall of Fame

What we need is a deeper moral reckoning

A free-spirited person is attacked 

In the name of nationalism and regionalism 

Protectors and defenders of cultural affairs 

Mortify and shame a fellow citizen 

What we need is to infuse a wiser instinct

A milestone yet to reach.

A nation is riven over political ideologies 

Repudiating each other for lost opportunities 

Further in this ongoing Battle of Credit 

Civil human behavior and sanity is lost

What we need is to build a Great Society 

A milestone yet to reach.

The world is getting darker and darker

Progress is hindered by the blinkered attitude 

A tug of war is played to hold power 

Risking division and fragmentation of society 

What we need is to embark fresh on a New Era
