Guardian Angels

I see a shadow lurking behind 

I know that it's not from humankind 

I sense a dark figure 

Fear, does it trigger?

I'm haunted by my monsters

To my problem, will I ever get an answer?

I'm possessed by the demons of my past 

I hope that they don't last 

But do usually monsters have wings?

It feels like we are connected by strings 

They have been following me everywhere, you see

For all along, my demons had been protecting me

I don't have to fear the shadows of the monsters I see

For, the darkest demons have been guarding me

My demons have been following me everywhere I go

They don't cause me any woe

I don't fear the dark days

For, it's just a phase

But, the demons that guard me are one and true 

Even if they are only a few 

My demons are protecting me

They're my problems' key 

I don't need to the dark night

For, my demons will protect me with all their might
