Mother and Child
Mother and Child
Read from top- what mother wants to tell her Child
Dearest child
You shall always be my cherished one, and I your
One true confidante one true companion
Know that when you seek me, you shall always find me
If not physically, be it in your memories and thoughts
You are mine and I am yours – no matter what
When you need that little light, I shall be that beacon from behind
Am the shadow in the dark for you to reach out to hold your hand
In my heart you hold a special place where you shall always stay
Believe me it will always be this way
Life will never be a smooth crystal staircase to climb
Some steps cracked some splintered and no carpet nor cushion lined
Tread carefully and climb when some uneven some broken steps you find
Those lessons taught keep safely tugged in mind
Strive to be a tiny star if not the mighty Sun
Never fear of getting hurt be an excuse
To quit halfway and then wonder – be never the option
Never stop when going gets tough- be the golden rule
Try to keep life simple and living calm and cool
I shall try to do my best
As mentor and guide
Thank you for being just you
A partner in laughter and cry
I shall always be that warm friend you call
Dearest mom
