Questions Nobody Asks
Questions Nobody Asks
Have you ever noticed
What the world is today?
The people, places and things
They have all changed.
That a young man can't help
An old lady with her bags,
She tells him, "NO!"
And then hides her cash.
Have you ever noticed that
The elderly are scared of the young?
And that the youth
Are even dumber?
Have you noticed
"NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND"?
Have you noticed nobody?
Is willing to free their mind?
When was the last time?
That you saw a child reading a book?
When was the last time that
Women wore a respectable look?
When did it become acceptable?
To have a child as a child?
Since when is it okay
For kids to be so wild?
Do you remember even?
Going to Sunday School?
I remember that I thought
It was so fucking cool!
Remember the days
When do we actually socialise?
Not over the internet
But out there under the skies?
Remember the days
Guys actually asked girls out?
Now we get together
But we never keep a count!
I look out into the world
And I see what it has become,
People screaming about
Forget where we came from!
Look at how far
The humans have evolved!
Please do look,
What have we solved?
I fear society has lost
Family and God.
I fear this is why
We are all in a fog.
What I have mentioned
Is just a few.
Look through your window,
Look at the view.
Is this the world that
Do you hear in your stories?
The world where people
Have no hobbies?
The electronic age
Is hear at last!
My God,
I hope it will pass.
This is not the place
That I want to be,
I fear America
Is no longer free.
