A Time In A Corn Maze

The moon was as red as a matador's cape. It was a full moon hovering over our heads.  The shape was round and big like a football. Though it was red it had some tints of black. Multiple people believe that evil spirits roam around torturing noble citizens during a full moon. Just like a vampire or a werewolf. People do black magic and evil things. Everyone's spirits become high and active!

It was the darkest day of the year. The darkest of all. It was Halloween's eve! I love Halloween but one of my best friends, Caina gets really petrified. Our town, Middleton celebrates every festival in a nice manner with all of the traditions. We are a united town, more like a family. So, at midnight we are going to celebrate Halloween.

I was going to dress as Maleficent, an evil princess. I was very excited but my Mum ruined it as she believes in all the stupid superstitions and started taking precautions. I began getting ready. The clock struck twelve. It was time! Happy Halloween! We greeted everyone in town. The town was decked up with scary Halloween ornaments and bright golden lights all over the place.

We went trick or treat. I took my friends to the corn maze. Well, it was pretty baffling. Caina was with us too. We were checking the way out but we were completely lost and puzzled. We were stuck in the middle of the maze. Caina started panicking and weeping.

We helped her interpret but she kept on whining. We had to find a way to work this out. We kept on bellowing the only word that could lead us back 'Help'! A powerful word! We hoped somebody had heard it and to our surprise it was true!

A glowing splint was lighted. It was red too matching the moon. We followed the light, it led us back out. I was pretty convinced, it was a tough maze. I was smiling, I enjoyed it though Caina was still crying her eyes out. She was pretty petrified. She was shivering and trembling so we comforted her by hugging her.

Well, I love a night so adventurous, dark, and scary. It was the best Halloween eve I could have imagined though it was the worst for Caina.
