Ch:7-The Other Side Of Realm

"Ugh...

What just happened? ,where am I? I swear was just in my bed ,wait, am I still sleeping? Is this some kind of dream? "


Well in normal circumstances, I identify myself  as Lucas paul, and right now I think I am in very big trouble with these sudden thoughts, I can feel that something is different, my eyes are closed but I am actually awake. 

I guess , it is definitely a dream, and I know I am sleeping, is this what people call a "lucid dream"?


Well, As I was trying to regain the lost control of my mind ,I heard an unknown stranger's voice. 


" Savant Shin.. "


This voice seems to be very gentle and respectful ,but I do not think that the Voice is addressing me, because my name is lucas, Who is this "Savant Shin"? But wait... before that.. Whose voice is this?


And then I heard this voice repeating itself.


"Pardon me Savant Shin, but please, I kindly request you to wake up, our break time is over sir"


Now I am actually very perplexed, so I quickly recollected my thoughts and started to prepare for whatever comes afterwards.


Okay, okay, let's calm down and think, let's assume for now. 

1.So this 'savant shin is actually me,

2 The way the owner of the voice speaks is way too polite, 

3-This body is not mine, 

4:-I am feeling sluggish 

5:-I seriously need to wake up


Well, that was the first immediate response that I thought I should follow


So for now, let's calm down, and feel this body and open eyes.. Slowly. … Open... eyes


As I did that according to my own brain generated instructions and tried to open my eyes, a sudden beam of bright light dazzled my eyes for a moment and deprived me of my sight,  


But that was only for a few moments, I blinked a few times before my eyes finally adjusted according to brightness..


Ok, So, now I can at least observe the situation that I am going to face, well, let's see.. 


I gazed over all the directions and tried to gather all the information from what I could observe. 
A wooden floor, a lantern, piles of parchment, desks and cabinets ,all are the indications that this is some kind of office building and it's my workplace,

But who am I? I mean, I know that my identity is Lucas Paul, but now I am having existential crisis, how did I get here? where is this place? and why I am here? 
I suddenly saw a reflection of myself in metallic glass filled with water, to my surprise it's actually my own face, the face of Lucas paul. 
But these clothes and my uniform, and also this environment , I don't  get it,  what's going on? 

Suddenly I felt a slight pain and my head throbbed for a few seconds, but at that exact moment, I felt like something penetrated my head and I got the answers I wanted to know.

I understand now ,I experienced the phenomenon which is far beyond science and and people might say that " I got isekai-ed" but I do not remember getting hit by any truck-kun? Then how is this happened? 

Morever, why I do have my old same face, Isn't it given that the protagonist must get a handsome face and lots of cheat powers when he get "isekai-ed?".

Okay,enough of these fantasies, now let's sum up my situation once again, from the information I just received in my mind. 


1.This building is actually my office, or should I say the office of the owner of this body who is known as 'Savant Shin '


2. "Savant" is not a name, but the name of the honorary title, hah!!.. This guy is actually a big shot, head of the Council of planning,and this council decide the fate of this country , isn't he already like a king? 


3. This "Savant Shin" is actually a dimensional traveller and he use my body on earth to steal knowledge and Technology from earth and implement it here, isn't he actually a very bad guy? A criminal? He is violating copyright laws!!!!


4. Well, he does feel guilty to use knowledge of earth to get this position of "Savant", but he is actually doing it to improve his own country, he doesn't care for fortune or fame, he just want to uplift the lives of his people, look like he is very devoted patriot... I see. I get the situation now... I take back my words, he is actually a good guy, at least he is better than those guys who shamelessly use torrents and cracks to steal paid softwares..... Sorry Savant Shin, I misunderstood you, you are a good man.


As I was contemplating all these thoughts and trying to figure out what to do next, I finally got to see the owner of the voice that is in front of me.


And just who is this guy in uniform?


Right now, I am observing this young  man who is standing in front of me, this young man is wearing a well decorated navy blue uniform, and the top of his head is covered by a matching coloured traditional fur hat,  


Well, now when I think about his appearance, isn't he actually looks good in that uniform? , quite handsome I would say, Is this the effect of his uniform? They say clothes really do makes a man, so it is actually true..? 

Not to mention about my own clothes, a long trench coat uniform, this looks quite good, but the uniforms are very heavy so I conclude that my location is situated in some cold region.


But who is he? Could it be that this guy is actually that rumoured isekai god or the messenger of god who will grant me my cheat skills? Should I ask him about my mission and quest? Is there any demon lord that I must kill and save the world? 


Well, It's not that I hate it, but I am a little bit disappointed, wouldn't it be better if a cute angel greets me here in a situation like this? But wait, If I am summoned here by any magical circles like in those fantasy novels, why there isn't any daughter of the king or saintess who summoned me here?, how rude of them to not greet me After summoning me here as their hero? I deserve at least this much hospitality , ain't I? 


Ugh, how stupid I am that my mind is feeding on these useless thoughts,

At that moment, I again felt a slight throbbing pain in my head and my body jolted by the effect of headache which made me even more perplexed.


What just happened again? Could it be that this is the divine punishment for my imprudent thoughts for asking for an angel? Is it? I do not know about the gods of earth, but I guess god of this world are quite  eccentric, They take offence really easily, !Oh dear lords of ishvak in heaven, forgive this humble being, for I have committed a great sin..


The fear was rising in my mind and showing on my face, and just like before, I suddenly acquired all the knowledge that I wanted to enquire. 

Oh, I see.. So it was not a divine punishment and it was more like "an information transfer" process, I got what I wanted to know,

Is there any status window avialable now? Do I have appraisal skills? or magical power?

"Heed my call and hear my request, I summon thee my powers powers from abyss unfathomed , answer my call and show yourself " nothing again


Ok,  It's  embarrassing, my inner chunni is revealed!!!

But its okay, I am safe, I didn't said anything loudly, It was all in my mind

let's pretend I never said those things.


Now focus again, So this young man is my 'adherent' and his name is Rios ,He is a very good assistant.

Now at least, I know all the circumstances of this world and everything happening here. 


"Savant Shin, sorry to disturb your nap, but the break time is over, if you are still feeling Drowsy, then shall I prepare some tea for you? "


Ohh,! He seems to be quite caring type, even though he is my "Adherent", he is going as far as to prepare tea for me, Is it alright for me to take his offer? Will I be considered rude if decline?,

Woahh.. It actually sounds quite fancy isn't it? As expected from a fantasy world, even my own language and the way I speak seems quite scholarly.


"Oh no sir, do not humble yourself for me, and I don't have to apologise, it's my duty after all to assist you my esteemed savant "


Wow!!! He is actually better than my imaginary angels, extremely polite speech and very well mannered  now I am feeling guilty, Isn't he actually better than angel or saintess? Forgive me adherent Rios, I misunderstood you.


"The tea is ready savant, have it while it's warm, hope you feel awake"


And he had already prepared the tea? In my old world, I was orphan so no one actually cared for me this much, I am really touched, I feel like crying, I am sorry Rios for complaining before, you are the real angel, lets make a nice 'thank you ' line for you 


"Allow me to thank you for your effort, this savant is grateful and appreciate your assistance"


Is this much is appropriate? Should I bow my head to thank him? I am really touched by his actions, but my rank is higher than him, so he might get embrassed I bow my head in front of him ,I know that he just brew tea for me but I am really grateful and not to mention abou the taste, it is actually very rich in flavor.

But I am Also bound my rank and my character as "Savant". So I must be careful to not play out of the character

So yeah,I guess my simple "thank you" message was appropriate.


Now lets see what I should do now, first of all this desk is in total mess, let's arrange the Parchments in order to work, though I do not know what to do here, I guess the knowledge I received from the owner of the body will help me to sort out the documents, 


I noticed that all the documents are actually parchments, I think they do not have the technology to make paper yet, this world is actually very primitive, 

Since I can observe in reports, even the water wheels are quite the big deal for them and this country Viyeshak is Prosperous by selling water wheels. But they really lack fertile lands for agriculture because the location is tundra landscape so they are still dependent on traders to procure cereals,

Let's see.. Next is.. Hmm? A slip? Lets see what's written here.


"Dear Lucas, let this humble being to introduce himself, who is known by the name of Savant Shin, "


Oh, the words from original Savant shin, and he knows my name!! Well. Let's continue to read.


"Please forgive me for forcing you to work in my instead , but as you have observed by now , my world and my country is not as advanced as your realm earth, hence kindly allow me to use your body to procure knowledge of earth into the realm of ishkvak, and I assure you, you have my words, my only purpose is to save my country from the dark ages and to revive the advancement of our civilization and hence,I humbly ask for your corporation, please bear with my selfishness and pretend to be the real savant and helpme to lead my country , as you know that we both can travel between the domain of the realm, but it's not possible to do that if only one side wish to do that, hence I am sure that you too must have thought about moving into this world "


I understand now, It makes sense, it's not that I was forced to switch my body with his. Even I thought once or twice about how lucky are those protagonists who get into a parallel world and can enjoy slow life, and at the same time Savant shin must be thinking of a world where he could find the solutions for his country's miseries . So in short our interest aligned with each other and this triggered our ability to travel between realm. 

Lets see next is.. 


"This will be difficult to comprehend for you, but the truth is that you and I In fact are not two different entities, you must have noticed that by now that how similar we look even if we are not relatives or not in the same world, and also the way we think and speak is different, That is because of the external environment that forced our consciousness to evolve accordingly so that we can live. But our consciousness is same,

Ok, I can understand that he is trying to say that this one 'consciousness ' is connected via two different entities, and the entities, which means our bodies has evolved according to the surrounding environment of their respective realms, but in the end, we both are same being because we evolved from same consciousness.


Not only it is difficult to believe but this phenomenon sounds very absurd!! To put it simply, isn't he saying that I'm an entity who exist in a quantum superposition. Is it even possible? 


I don't know if it's possible or not, but if it's happening with me right now , then there must be some truth in his statement, or should I say in "my own' statement?. 


But I don't think this phenomenon can actually affect a living entity, from what I know, quantum superposition has lots of limitations and it is not implemented yet on the entities beyond the atomic size, but he also mentioned something, a new term that he called 'consciousness', the way he described it, it seems that consciousness is some kind of energy or wave that is actually beyond the boundaries of physical realities. If this consciousness thing is correct, then I think it can explain my current situation.


Oh. There is more, a second slip.. Let's read 


"From the knowledge I received in your body and from your brain, I know that you are orphan and you are a Scholar yourself, something you that call "engineer", hence through our neural consciousness link, I will send the necessary knowledge that I read here to you, pls kindly arrange those knowledge and I beg you to help my people, I assure you I will only use this body to read books from Earth's library, in case you do not want to switch, I will respect your decision and we can switch again, please use your art of engineering drawing and lead my people"


I understand, I think I can trust this man, even though whatever he do in my original body, it will not affect me. I was already orphan and I was living my life normally, so even if he commits crime or go to jail, it will be his Own problem, I don't despise my old world, but I always thrive to experience something new and adventurous, so let's try to live in this new world. 

I am actually very excited, when I think about leading this country, its feel like playing some turned based civilization strategy games.

Well, let's try to be the most advanced civilization and win this game.


And about the neural conscious link he told me, I think its that link that cause sudden pain in my head, it is slightly painful but not too overwhelming, so its tolerable.

I conclude that whenever I want to know something, I will get the answers in mind from original 'Savant Shin' and that is only if he knows the answer himself.


I Think it's alright , now its time to do my duty and work here, even though I want to experience this world, I should not be slacking from my work, and I need to be cautious and must learn the culture and geography so that I can perfectly pretend to be the real savant shin.... Now let's begin..
