A ragged look beggar
Cruelly oppressed by thirst and hunger.
Deprived of love and care.
The magical touch, he is waiting for
Knocking the deaf world’s door.
It rattled my soul.
Looking at his alms-bowl.
Mental health is taking a toll.
Visible or not, it’s on a roll.
How unfortunate of all.
Pressure, stress, probably, he could not cope.
At last, died the sprouted hope.
Lost the battle, could not fight.
Without support, it’s difficult to see the light.
For the day, I’m waiting
When no one will be seen
On the streets, begging
Hungry and suffering.
