SEE YOU SOON
SEE YOU SOON
The stars were peeping through the evening sky,
Watching a cool breeze passing by.
As the Sun bid farewell to the Moon,
"Take care, my friend, I'll see you soon."
“Our moments of meeting are short-lived and few,
But our friendship extends across the blue.
I'm off to light the other half of the sky,
Leaving this half for you to stand by.”
The Moon cried “Dear Sun, don’t leave me alone
The dark night, to fear is prone
How shall I live in the dark without you?
Why don’t you hold me close to you?”
“Dear I’ll send my light to you
Reaching out through the sky to you
It’ll never make you feel alone
And in the darkness, you’ll feel at home
We have this duty to light the sky
To show the path to passers by
Come share with me this noble role
To light the world is our goal.
So hold the torch shining bright through the dark,
I'll be back at dawn with a bright new spark.
For now, it is your turn to light up the blue,
To charm the sky with your silvery hue.
This part of the world is weary of my glare,
They'd like to count the stars, and want a light they can bear.
You've the onus to hold that light while I'm gone,
I'll see you again at the break of dawn.
Together let's light up this celestial show,
Fighting darkness, keeping the light aglow.
So farewell, my dear pretty Moon,
Across the horizon, I'll see you soon.”
