MOTHER'S DAY
MOTHER'S DAY
Each Mother's day takes me back to that time
When you held me in your arms and sang a lullaby divine
Those precious days still live, in my memory lane
When your joys were my joys and my pain was your pain
A sharing and a bond so precious and unique
Is hard to find in the world, however one may seek
Though you're not here, the memory of your face and wise words
Comfort me to solace in this strange world
I wish you were here, I'd offer flowers at your feet
For being the sweetest person I ever did meet
Your smile, your sweet voice and tender loving touch
Are the precious things of life, that I now miss so much
The aroma of your cooking, your calling me by my nickname
Without you somehow, life has never been the same
How I wish I could turn the clock back to that time
When you held me in your arms and sang a lullaby divine
