Solace in Stillness

In the stillness of the night,

As the stars twinkle bright,

I lay in bed and close my eyes,

And let my soul take to the skies.

In the darkness, I find peace,

As the worries of the day release,

And I'm left with just my thoughts,

As my mind and heart tie knots.

I reflect on life, on love, on loss,

On the paths we take, and the cost,

Of the decisions we make, and the roads we choose,

And how they shape us, win or lose.

I think of the people, who came and went,

Of the memories made, and the time well spent,

Of the lessons learned, and the scars we bear,

Of the joys and sorrows, that we all share.

And in this quiet, I find solace,

In the stillness, I feel the promise,

Of a new day, a fresh start,

A chance to heal, a chance to be a part.

For in the stillness, I find my strength,

As my heart beats on, in a steady length,

And I know that I can weather any storm,

For in the stillness, I am reborn.
