What A Wonder!
What A Wonder!
What a wonder!
Is what I wonder.
In plain sight are the stars and flowers,
That I guess have each other discovered.
A mirror perhaps that guides the stars to reflect their light
So generously on the flowers.
A bloom so imploring,
That the stars cannot be but their lover.
The setting is one of brilliance,
All lit up to radiance,
Yet we call it a night,
For only in the dark,
Is this magic a sight for weary eyes.
I wonder why we sleep to glory,
When there is so much of their story,
That even in our dreams
Perhaps we miss to see so very.
My drooping eyelids peek out of the window,
One last glimpse of the skies so endowed,
I still have the dawn to break,
Perhaps I will find cheer,
In the flowers that had to the night surrendered.
