There was a king. He had two sons and a daughter. The elder son loved to enjoy his life leisurely. Most of the time, he was busy horse racing. The second son liked hunting and spend a good amount of time in the forest, chasing the animal.

The king was getting old. So he wanted to decide about the successor. One day, he called his wise minister to discuss about the successor for his throne.

When the minister came, the king asked, "Tell me whom should I make my successor? The elder or the younger son?

The minister thought for a while and then replied, " I beg your pardon Your Majesty! None of your sons have ability to become an able king. A king should be concerned about the problems and the needs of his subjects . Unfortunately, both the prince have no time to look after the subjects of your kingdom. Your Majesty according to me, the princess best suits this post. She spends her time with the people of your kingdom and is concerned about their problems. She really works hard for welfare. People like their princess very much. According to me, the throne should go to a person like her, who is sensitive about the people's cause.

The minister's words appealed to the king. He decided to go against the custom of making a son the successor and happily choose his able daughter as the future queen of his kingdom.

Moral of the story is:- A good ruler should be concerned about his people.
