PRINCE IVY AND PRINCESS PINK BLUSH

When Prince Ivy of Creepy-Crawly land went riding on his horse through the lands of Rosy Glow he fell deeply in love with the beautiful Princess Pink Blush, for when she blushed her cheeks would turn pink as a candy tuft cloud.

Prince Ivy proposed to the dear Princess Pink Blush and she gladly accepted but on one condition, that she take along with her, her three jesters, Tiddly-Winks, Tragic-Comedy, Thingummy and her wizard Itsy-Bitsy. Prince Ivy happily agreed to Princess Pink Blush’s wishes.

Now Prince Ivy was greatly awed by the merry tricks and antics of Princess Pink Blush’s three jesters Tiddly-Winks, Tragic-Comedy and Thingummy as well as his wizard Itsy-Bitsy.

Often they would play games and sing songs to entertain the prince and princess.

Wizard Itsy-Bitsy:

“I am Itsy-Bitsy

Princess Pink Blush’s

Small and tiny wizard

And make teeny weeny

Butterflies, squirrels and rabbits,

Pink and Blue Rosebuds too

Pop out of my magic cap”

Jester Tiddly-Winks:

“I am cap and bells

Tiddly-Wink’s

Princess Pink Blush’s

Google eyed jester

Cause I wink and play

Tiddly winks

As I gracefully aim

Golden rings in my silver cup!”

Jester Tragic-Comedy:

“I am Cap and Bells

Tragic-Comedy

Princess Pink Blush’s

Tragical hero and comedian slapstick

And with my dunce cap Pathos and Amos

On

I sob and laugh

At the same time’

Isn’t it tragically comic, I must say!”

Jester Thingummy:

“Half baked, Half baked

Pancakes

I am Jester Thingummy

Princess Pink Blush’s blindfolded Cap and Bells’

And will forever be anonymous

For I never shall disclose my secret name

I may be called thin and gummy

Thingummy

But you may keep playing the guessing game

Half baked, half baked

Pancakes!”

However, Prince Ivy’s wizard Flibbertigibbet was very envious of Princess Pink Blush’s three jesters and her wizard Itsy-Bitsy. He felt that all these cheerful fun and games were flim-flam as all he could do was gossip, chatter and jabber. So Wizard Flibbertigibbet would sing this song all day…..

“Bunkum, Humbug, Hooey

I am wizard Flibbertigibbet

Prince Ivy’s Wizard jackanapes,

I love to tall talk

And put on airs

Strut like a peacock

And puff all day on my pipe

With my nose in the air

And arms akimbo!

Bunkum, Humbug Hooey”

Wizard Flibbertigibbet would always poison Prince Ivy’s ears that Princess Pink Blush would blush for the least things, for her cheeks would turn a shocking pink when she smiled. Prince Ivy was furious, for unfortunately he believed in his nifty little wizard Flibbertigibbet’s nonsense.

Princess Pink Blush tried very hard indeed to make Prince Ivy comprehend the true depth of her love for him, but all her efforts were in vain. Prince Ivy lost faith in her and grew very suspicious of princess Pink Blush’s cheeks turning as pink as pink could be.

So he ordered his soldiers to imprison Princess Pink Blush along with her three jesters Tiddly-Winks, Tragic-Comedy and Thingummy as well as Wizard Itsy-Bitsy in the Ivory Tower on the advice of his Wizard Flibbertigibbet.

Nevertheless, something most wonderful happened in the land of Creepy-Crawly. Creepy-Crawly land was filled with poisoned ivy creepers but now amongst them grew Princess Pink Blush’s wizard Itsy-Bitsy’s, most beautiful pink roses.

It reminded the Prince Ivy of his dear Princess Pink Blush and he did realize his grave mistake and set them all free.

In the end he lived happily with his dear Princess Pink Blush and her pink rosy cheeks gushed with colour whilst her wizard Itsy-Bitsy turned Prince Ivy’s diabolical wizard Flibbertigibbet into a Pea hen that strutted in the shrubbery nearby.
