On The Farther End

Trapped in quartz veins, suffocate down a dark dingy mine,  

Passing tunnels and touchstones, glittering my gold shine.  

Buried in blackness, drowned in the dirt for what seemed ages, 

Toiled my way out of the soil, blooming between sages. 

Beyond darkness lies success scripting on its pages. 

Alive and kicking submerged in pitch dark for months on end, 

Pushed my way out, bedazzled by kind eyes that so lovingly tend.  

Cocooned in gloomy silence, just me and my mood swings, 

Flapping out from chrysalis, flit around flowers on colourful wings. 

Beyond darkness rises courage- what liberation it brings! 

From darkness, He created a world in delphic mystique ways, 

Shone a Sun to sustain, full of fiery light rays. 

To dispel darkness, as we embark on our sacred pilgrimage, 

Seeking answers gets lost in the mazy corridors of knowledge.  

Beyond darkness lies life's secrets, processing a visage. 

Blinding darkness we conjure up to embrace in meditation,  

Emerge enlightened from soul search on self-realisation. 

Mould ourselves to be worthy of, to stake our rightful claim, 

Darkness gleams on star trellis for dreams to look up and aim.  

Beyond darkness shines our little light, a beacon to Life game!
