It was a rainy day, rains poured like footfall of people in the mall but Dev and Ridima were far far away from that crowd of mall because it was a friday and nothing compared a movie for them on a friday night. They reached home late from the office, finished off their respective routine duties and prepared for their saga a little late but that was fine because they finally had their time.

Lights were set to dim, ac was turned off and windows were opened. It was a clear sky after the rain, so the moonlight successfully peeked into the room. There was a table just opposite to the window and some books were lying on the table but disorganized maintaining the equilibrium of chaos with the world outside the window. Outside the window the leaves were still wet with water droplets on them and inside the window the curtains were waving with the soft strokes of the wind. Amidst all this a fifteen point five inch wide screen laptop was set on the table besides the books and speakers were kept in the perfect place to listen to the dialogues carefully.

Without wasting any more time they started their movie and for the entire time their surrounding dared not disturb them or let's sat they didn't care about what happened around them for the entire time during the movie. Past the movie both of them were eager to sleep as they were already exhausted. The next moment they retired into their respective comfortable positions and it would have ended there itself if Ridima still lying lazily in the bed had not asked Dev that why didn't the movie had a conclusion in the end, that why did the dying man not let his wife meet him although he loved her beyond everything. Dev was already half asleep but he couldn't ignore the urge to answer Ridima that movies don't need to always have a conclusion because if they had that in the first place that won't be justified, yes it would be good for the life of characters in the film but that would erode the beauty of the film as a whole. Ridima wasn't convinced, now so she sat and turned towards Dev with a look in her eyes demanding complete attention from him. She said "but we are watching a movie and not trying to peek into someone's life without their permission and thus we definitely deserve to get the complete story with the conclusion so that we don't end up thinking about the open end all the time and then contemplate in our mind that could have been happened next or argue over coffee that why one situation was more probable than the other". Dev had now realised that Ridima won't sleep until she is convinced nor will let him sleep. He told her that yes we are not stealthily looking into someone's life and asked that what if the characters' life was that way , what if that was the only end to their story. He further went on to explain that films are made out of real life stories or inspired from them , directly or indirectly, and in real life sometimes we don't have answers to every question, not every real life story ends at a happy note, real life stories have open ends and they stay the same way forever.

Dev could see that Ridima was still not convinced but he himself was pretty convinced that he won't be able to procrastinate his sleep anymore so he asked Ridima to forget about the film and sleep.

Although inside the window the curtains had stopped waving but outside the window the water droplets were still there on the leaves. Ridima put her head on the pillow and looked out of the window at the moon and talked to herself asking the same question again and again, although it was her own story but she slept with a little sparkle of moonlight on her face.
