That one girl

She sat there, staring at the art 

That one girl who has everyone's heart 

Lost in her own world 

Not even caring about others 

And then she opened the book in her hand 

Her soul flew to a different land 

A place where she felt truly belonged 

Imaginary worlds for which she longed 

Only that time they saw her smile 

For she wasn't a person considered vile 

But there were secrets they didn't know 

Secrets she let out when alone 

And those books were her therapy 

Her only cause for ecstasy 

Allowing her to laugh and cry 

As her heart desired
