The Unknown Chapter

The silent nights and the serene days,

When the yellow street lights flicker along the lonely pathways,

Everywhere it's pitch dark around,

When I find myself awake with the owl's 'hoot' sound

The to-and-fro movement of the trees,

And the swift wind that blows like a breeze

The chilly gust of air that touches my soul,

Which makes me feel a bit mysterious, something that I have never sensed before

I asked myself - was it a sign or just my imagination?

With my eyes continuously glaring at the shining moonlight,

The thoughts struck me with an unpleasant realization,

But I am still wondering for answers with my forlorn eyesight

The unpredictable miseries of life that no one could understand,

It is your destiny which is already planned

No matter how much you try to escape,

But at last, it is your only command that you have to face

Life is that book which you can never disown,

Because it's not you but the almighty who owns

I faced and went through many pages of the book,

But still, there's always a chapter that will be unknown.
