Life is short and moves so fast

Glimpses flashes future present past

Memorable images take seconds to last

It was only yesterday that I was a baby divine

Cradled in my mothers comfort the only mine

Hanging on to her as my lovely lifeline

It was only yesterday that I was a little girl

Twinkling wide eyes, innocent and gullible

Gaping open mouth at any instance magical

It was only yesterday that I was a young lady

Beautiful and attractive avoiding anything shady

Immaculate and honest known as a gentle lady

It was only yesterday that I was an old woman

Forgetful frail fragile depending on my old man

Weary and wary of mankind and her entire clan

Life is simple to live it with humility and sincerity

Life is loving all humans and belief in humanity

Life then becomes harmonious filled with serenity
