Walking In The Wilderness
Walking In The Wilderness
As I stride down the memory lane,
I slip into bouts of nostalgia,
albeit with unbearable pain.
Soaking in the beauty of the lush green fields,
enjoying the breezy, pleasantly warm mornings,
relishing the alluring sunrise,
delving into the fragrant petrichor,
adoring the cold, tranquil nights.
Stranded in the ocean of despair and dejection,
all alone I am, gloomy and melancholic,
my heart yearns for your august presence,
as I am unable to handle the rejection.
The ocean seems insurmountable,
yet a divine force stays by my side,
it's the love which has propelled me,
from darkness unto light.
Oh, how I wish you were magnanimous,
like the ocean to embrace my benign company.
Oh, how I wish you were like the twilight,
soothing my restless and fidgety heart.
Oh, how I wish you were like the sand,
erasing my worries and making me feel at ease.
Oh, how I wish you were like the cobbled streets of Rome,
singing the symphony of love and affection.
Our love is immortal my sweetheart;
navigating through the tested waters of time,
yet standing still, as a testament of our perennial love.
