Ceaseless and tireless like the ocean with their ebbs and tides.  Parched lips and not a drop to quench his thirst with his dog by his side.  They walked along wherever their destination would lead them.      Sand. blew into their eyes but that did not deter them.   They walked on till their legs could carry them.     With the staff in one hand and the dog in the other they came across an oasis where they drank to their hearts content.  With their sacks full ate the fruits that had fallen. The juicy fruits felt like manna  They stretched for awhile and continued their onward journey to an unheard of place to the so called golden city where there was no paucity.

Night crept they shuddered. seeking warmth.      They collected thistles. from the wild thorny bushes. and struck fire.  Unfortunately there was a heavy downpour.   Barren as the land was creepy crawly creatures. hastened in search of their den.   They knew not what they stepped on for they plunged into darkness.   The dark clouds overshadowed their vision.   Being drenched. seeking shelter, the place being a haven for creepy crawly creatures they couldn’t sleep at will.  The creatures ran over them and the sand literally sucked them like quick silver.     They stepped. cautiously in the dead of the night.    Endless was their journey and travails many.      They encountered a huge python but at the bay of an eyelid the dog snapped at it. and it seared wrath that it slipped. The man’s legs were swollen and he could step no more.     Sleep crept over him while the dog kept guard.         The sleep loosened his limbs and was afresh to carry onward.   There was a glimmer of light.       The land that he dreamt of was in the vicinity.    His nerves were relieved and and patted his dog, his staff and heaved a sigh of relief pondering over what had passed. He could see the buzz and buzz.    The streets bustling with vendors.

A stranger called out to him for a cup of tea which he gulped down.  The dog had pieces of bread which made both content.
