Over the horizon birds In flocks and of different array were heading home against the stupendous background.           One couldn’t take their eyes of the sky.     Gazers stood still drinking in the beauty.      The serenity entranced everyone.               The Sun with an orange and crimson glow was taking its own time to set.          The clouds gathered on either side the shape of two felines.                  Much to the surprise it seemed. like a cloud burst.                              The wise old owl was hooting and bats encircled.                            Gazers awaited with bated breath.        Was it an omen! one wondered.         They animatedly spoke breaking the silence. Dread caught on.             At the backdrop of the twilight zone a reticent old woman in her twilight was shackled and was hounded.          


  In her youth she was charming and besotted by many. a prince.               Her intellect matched her beauty.         In many courts her intellect. outwitted others She spurned. her charm.        Soon she rose to be the most popular courtesan.                          Rivalry did exist. amongst other courtesans. but no one to equal her.      The day arose when. a prince besot by her beauty and intellect sought her hand in marriage.                            She was swept off her feet. Without much ado consented to the proposal.           Her chivalry raised. eyebrows.          Being ambitious she. waged war against. neighboring countries and stood triumphant.                        


   Vengeance boiled over                The neighboring countries sought alliance to bring down her regime. They did not want to pay allegiance to her the arrogant queen They wanted to disband her troops and destroy her arms and ammunitions.     They gheraoed her palace stealthily outsmarted her.                      By then she was aging and could not outdo them.                              Her subjects were wearisome of her haughty nature and did not rise to the occasion.    The Allie’s shackled her and brought her to the town square despite her resistance.                          The had grown weary of her and had turned his attention to other maids in waiting.    The queen was flogged and left in the town square shackled. Nobody showed apathy and left her to fend for herself.            Starvation and bruises took the breath away. She fell to the ground and lay lifeless.                                The twilight was merciless. The woman who reigned saw her doom
