Those Were The Days!

Another notice on the college bulletin,

Oh, look! It’s about another protest and we can’t miss any of it.

The topic, the usual issues, including the violation of our rights and burdening all with extra classes.

An hour doesn’t seem to be enough to deliver an idea,

They end up taking fifteen minutes extra.

We hardly find any time to eat sometimes, with the loss of all the enthusiasm and the energy in the very morning.

The pollution in the city works as an icing to the cake for this situation,

Making it even harder to concentrate, it causes so much frustration!

We have to finish the syllabus in very less time,

Go and read all the stuff in advance, value your time like it’s that last dime.

And then there are the department fests., all lined up,

We need to gear up and start filling all the information in our cup.

And that’s not the end of it,

We have ‘Tarang’, approaching sooner than we think.

Google forms and interviews to choose the right crew,

We need all the dedication that you’ve ever had to make it brew.

All the pro-nite events are so lit!

The bands and the musicians, adding a touch of wit.

The next day marks the end of this Escalade,

And lets everyone take a breath of fresh air.

It’s LSR on page 3 today,

This should go on the college bulletin all the way.

All our hard work has paid after all,

It’s time for the exams to make a call.

You can feel the exam fervent in the air,

With more books in the hands of a student than their head has hair.

The wait is finally over and the results are out,

Everyone got what they deserve which puts off any reason for doubt.

That’s how college gives us lessons for life,

Putting our knowledge to test rather than teaching it before we regret and apologize.

This is the youth, this is ‘us’,

With a lot of creativity at hand without any fuss.
