Wisdom Or Education

Wisdom Or Education

A little learning is a dangerous thing

Like half baked knowledge is akin to nothing

There was a time when we had thinkers and philosophers of a kind

Who were all well versed in matters of all times

Their thirst for knowledge made them travel and seek

Living in lands of different cultures and streaks

Be it Science, Religion or History or Politics

They believed in the integration of knowledge in every nuance and trick

No wonder they were called, great men, Philosophers, and Saints

Who expounded reams and reams of knowledge to spread and paint

They went on to become the beacons for the coming generation's mass

Like the pole star leading the seamen to their destination, without the compass

They are cherished to this day with great respect and reverence

Those who brought pride to the country's honor and elegance

Coming to our generations of today's times

Education is a means to pay and get away with every time

No doubt many learned men are born every day

But men who have no grey matter', yet get away

Agreed money is the all-time panacea for everyone today

You can buy health, education, and position in every which way

An educated fool is filled with book knowledge and lacks common sense

For him, education is only paper certificates and rest else is nonsense

Every parent wants to give the best of education that one can buy

But weighing education with money is far worse a try

Because a fool thinks he is wise

And an educated person thinks he is a fool likewise

Education bought and education earned are two worlds apart

Like cheese and chalk, that can never get together

A learned man may not be as much rich

But a foolish man can be stinking rich

When there is a thirst for knowledge, there learning happens ...And

When there is a clamor for buying education, wisdom slackens

If one is born with a silver spoon

He may buy comfort, luxury, and leisure

But no one can snatch education from a poor man in any form or measure

Let's put on our thinking caps and see the crux of education

Do we want someone with knowledge or mere paper certification?
